Ms. Roman joined the firm in 2009 and concentrates her practice in the areas of family law and civil litigation. Her family law practice includes divorce, paternity actions, modification of agreements, custody disputes, prenuptial agreements, and restraining orders. Her civil litigation practice includes all aspects of business disputes, including breach of contract, unfair and deceptive acts or practices as well as civil rights violations, slander and libel.
Ms. Roman is a former associate at Tarlow Breed Hart & Rodgers, P.C. in Boston where she focused on business litigation and family law as well as Seegel Lipshutz & Wilchins, LLP in Wellesley, where she focused on family law. Ms. Roman started her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County where she prosecuted major felony cases in both the District and Superior Courts, and gained extensive trial experience. During her tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Roman successfully argued a case of first impression before the Supreme Judicial Court and successfully argued a case before the Appeals Court.
Ms. Roman draws upon her diverse employment experience to effectively and zealously advocate for her clients in order to achieve positive results. Ms. Roman believes that positive results are achieved by keeping the needs of the client in the forefront of the case and utilizing an analytical, yet practical approach, to achieve a satisfactory result.
Ms. Roman is an on-camera contributing legal analyst for WBZ-TV (CBS-Boston). She provides meaningful and insightful on-camera commentary on legal cases of both national and local interest. Most recently, Ms. Roman has provided on-camera legal commentary on the Clark Rockefeller trial, the controversy surrounding the Massachusetts state crime lab and the Christa Worthington trial and verdict.
In both 2007 and 2008, Ms. Roman was honored as a Massachusetts Rising Start in Massachusetts Super Lawyers/Boston Magazine, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of young lawyers in Massachusetts.
